TC-SSC and 97.5 COOL FM have partnered (and stepped) up to serve the sadly underquizzed residents of the Tri-Cities every other Thursday night from 7:30 – 10:00pm at Jack-son’s Richland. We’ve had an incredible turnout so far, and hope that you come check it out!

RSVP HERE:  http://www.meetup.com/TC-SSC/calendar/11545785/

Team sign-ups start at 7:30pm with gameplay starting around 8pm (or when the natives start getting restless).

Here’s what you need to know:
– Trivia Night covers everything from celebrities in trouble to local lore to bad television.

- Play in teams of up to six (teams over/under 4 get handicapped) or by yourself if you’re some kind of savant.

- If you want to play but don’t have a team, come anyway. We shouldn’t have a problem getting single players recruited onto an existing team.

- Winning team gets street cred, bar cash and other prizes depending on the evening.

- You don’t have to be a trivia God to enjoy the quiz. Since you’re playing on a team, the collective knowledge base makes for more fun, less pressure. It’s not Final friggin Jeopardy :)

Here’s the basics:

- Each table forms a team and selects its team name. Each team will have a trivia sheet that they will use to fill out their answers.

- Teams can be any size (from singles to large groups) – but there is a handicapping system.

- There are six category rounds (each with its own theme) and around 10 questions per round.

- Each question will be announced by the trivia host, and groups will have time to talk within their team and write down an answer before moving on.

- After the round is complete, teams will “trade up” their score sheet with another group for grading (think elementary school….pass it back :) ). If a group feels they should receive credit, they can feel free to argue their case with the trivia host, who will make the final call.

- After three rounds, we’ll take a 15 (or so) minute break so we can grab another beer (or two) and bitch about how stupid (or savant-like) we all are.

- The Top 3 scoring teams will win bragging rights and some fun prizes from the Jackson’s…and will be our Reigning Champions!!

TCSinglesMixer1Well, we’ve been talking about doing a singles event and it looks like someone has beat us to it in a really fun way!  Tri-Cities Singles is getting together for its second singles mixer event this Sunday to watch the Seahawks play Arizona in the back room at the Sportspage. There are prizes for best team spirit, so get out your favorite Seahawks gear (or Cardinals gear if you dare) and come join in!

There was an amazing turnout at the September mixer (165 people?  Are you kidding me?!?) so it’s bound to be a ton of fun.

Here’s how this month’s event works:

Have you ever looked at someone you wanted to spark a conversation with, but weren’t sure if they were single or not? Well, on this night, you do not have to worry! All guests will receive a red, yellow, or green wrist band. Red means they are taken, yellow means they might be looking for someone new, and green means they are out, single, and ready to mingle. So grab all your friends and come join us!

Date: October 18th
Time: 12:30pm – ??
Place: Sportspage Bar and Grill – 6 S Cascade St, Kennewick

AVAWineRoomsWednesday Cocktails with TCSSC are the perfect way to break up a stressful work week.  We’re excited this week to try out a new local wine room,  AVA Wine Rooms off of Hwy 395/36th in Kennewick.  We’ve heard great things about the AVA Wine Rooms, and if chatting with the manager is any indication, we’re going to have a great time.

There will be cocktails, conversation, friendly people and hosts to introduce everyone! A true mixer. Come alone or with friends/co-workers, you’re guaranteed to meet a lot of friendly people while you’re there.

We will have a host at the event. They are there to meet everyone attending and make introductions amongst all the guests.

So join us! It’s a great way to socialize and meet some new people at a very cool location!

Details:
It is a no-host bar.
There is no cost for this event.
